RE:Thoughts on Q3...

RE:Thoughts on Q3...Great Post Doobie.

I feel the same way. Main reason I have so much respect for Canopy is because of the management.

doobiebaby wrote: Solid quarter.  Highlights for me were:

1.  Company culture and morale is still great.  I like that Bruce led with that.  It's true from what I've seen and a serious competitive advantage.  This company knows that it is #1 in the world and it shows in how they feel about themselves and conduct themselves.  The execs are rich as f@ck, but still sound down to earth.  I think they are still parking their cars in the first available spot versus reserved parking by the front door.  Awesome culture and these execs deserve major kudos for achieving it and sustaining it.

2.  Solid growth in inventories and biological assets.  The production platform is turning it out like it should and it will only continue to get better.  Scale and first mover advantage is this company's major differentiation and they are not letting up on it.

3.  I very much enjoyed the discussion of where medical is going for Canopy.  I invested in this for medical and have stayed in it for medical and I was very pleased to hear the emphasis on medical and how they believe it will grow substantially in the back half of 2018.  I think Bruce's number of 500,000 patients in another 12 months can be achieved and I loved the talk of specific cannabinoids administered with specific devices at specific temperatures for specific indications.  I doubt anyone is ahead of WEED in this area and it could be a substantial competitive advantage as this plays out.

4.  And I reallly liked hearing about the partnership with Constellation and how they are collaborating on new delivery methods, etc..  I loved that WEED had value added products that they could not share with Constellation until after the deal was inked.  It's amazing that WEED was immediately able to integrate with Constellation and partner with them on industry innovation.  To me this is actually a WOW!  No one else has that right now period in my book.

There is more to talk about like 70% greenhouse and 30% indoor, but I am going to keep it to that.  Overall I loved hearing Bruce's and Tim's tone on the call.  They sound comfortable in their own skin.  They sound confident.  As usual we heard realistic material delivered in a measured and confident way with humour and off the cuff intelligence thrown in.  These guys answer questions extremely well in my opinion.  When they are "unscripted" they shine. They know what they are talking about.  They have the depth and experience in this industry that is unparalleled to date.  There are no executives in this industry that I have more confidence in than these two at this time.  They did a great job and I continue to put my faith in them to deliver significant shareholder value over the next few years.
