Deter, detect, defendPatriot one tech would not have helped in today's shooting as it appears to have happened outside the school. However, by installing the scanners in doorways you would most certainly help to secure the inside of the building. Again, by integrating pat's cost effective tech, organizations can invest their savings into other components of their security plan. Many larger U.S. high schools have a limited number of entry and exit points in order to help with screening for weapons (using guards and/or wands). It would be possible to utilize the patscan BEFORE people even enter the building. In most ontario elementary and secondary schools, people stand before and speak into an external camera/intercom system before they are buzzed in. The person who commonly operates the door is a secretary who is already sitting in front of a computer. Patscan could be scanning that visitor live for weapons before they are buzzed into the school. This is an obvious application in my mind.
