RE:Paths - RE Shorts in the Gold SpaceA part of it is that investment advisors want to follow predominant trends. Trying to call for a trend change or a reversal is a low probability event to get correct exactly, only works when a person has both fundamentals and technicals excatly. Also they follow set rules, such as don't own gold shares when interest rates are rising. That may be good advice, but gold is not listening, and maybe gold shares will finally react also.

A big yes on qqq puts. I also bought some qqq puts today, March expiry as I'm not likely to hold for too long, that was at 166.1, so it was going against me for a few hours. AAPL is looking exhausted, and is a big part of qqq. Although qqq options can be very difficult and I would not easy recommend them, safer option is to buy QID inverse fund.

However, I also bought a tech stock today, cytk, their science is good, and fundamentals, technicals all aligned. I like owning something that is playing a role in making people better.
