Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:WEED and APH merger, is there any possibility?

RE:WEED and APH merger, is there any possibility? An absolute possibility.  This is business and enemies can become friends surprisingly quick when the money makes sense.

Probably not happening here though as the stocks didn't act right.  Normally the acquirer would be outperformed acquiree.  Since Canopy has outperformed the more likely case is that they are being bought if there is an acquisition indeed happening.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it is APH being bought as I own it and not weed at the moment but the trading in the stocks recently doesn't support it.

Oh and to top it off M&A love long weekends.  Gives them some extra time to hammer it out without worrying about leaks.

Just a possibility. Otherwise why VIC divested from USA after defending his USA operation. Does make sense, if only WEED wants a merger. They dont want to have USA exposure. That would be a huge move and merger written in sky
