Genkai Unit 3 being loaded with fuel.

Genkai Unit 3 being loaded with fuel.Kyushu electric has started to load their Genkai Unit 3 plant with fuel. They will put in 193 fuel bundles over the next couple of days and will be restartin in March/April about the same time as Ohi 3. This will be closely followed by Genkai Unit 4.
So the four reactors, Genkai 3 and 4 and Ohi 3 and 4 will add another 4720 Megawatts to the Japanese grid suignificantly reduce the pollution and associated deaths from fossil fuelled plants and lower the cost of electricity for Japanese consumers....Oh and I forgot...no carbon dioxide emissions at all.
The total of fuel elements in these four reactors will be 772. So in order to prepare for their next refuelling outages in 18 months time fuel manufacturers will need to make several hundred more fuel elements. The inventory is going down and thopse two utilities will not be selling any of their Uranium any time soon and may well need to start contracting before 2020.
