To trigger provision you highlight it needs to fail to pay7.5 cents per year and this needs to happen for 2 years. I do not see this being triggered any time soon. Sometimes in investing you learn the hard way that we have people like Bezos and Musk and in Canada Stronach who have that midas touch and can make businesses work and than you have people like Honderich and management team of torstar who everything they touch turns to rust and than to dust. Only thing going is they are in largest growing english speaking market in Canada and they should do better. Goes to show that humans trump markets every time. Without the right players you can not succeed.
Watsa however is the bright light but appears that he is being shut out of this investment and not welcomed by the entrenched shareholders in a fair and friendly way.
