Canada fails the home inspection

Canada fails the home inspectionThe drains are backed up (Alberta) and the knob and tube wiring (Ontario) is on the fritz. Meanwhile, our cherished leaders are out shopping for drapes and furniture. Trudeau is taking his family on a tax payer funded holiday to India and McKenna, our environmental minister, is spewing global warming propaganda in NYC. Calgary just had the coldest February in 25 years !The radical environmental ideology has been spread across Canada through the educational system. Not surprisingly, the Canadian dollar continues to drop as traders grow frustrated with the country's direction. Trade skirmishes continue to escalate. The trade deficit continues to widen and the current account balance is bleeding red. Tips for protecting your home during heavy down pours. Make sure the eaves trough is directing water away from your foundation. Make sure the patio stones are tilted down away from the house. You can do this by spreading crushed limestone under the patio stones. Make sure all the storm drains around your house are clean of debris. If you house is situated in a low lying area, make sure the street drains are clear to drain the excessive water flow. Excessive water running down the side of the house foundation will cause damage as the water freezes and expands. The masonry will scale and crack as hydro static pressure builds up over time. The entire foundation can shift up with the frost heave.
