The real problem with a lower stock price.I have been assuming that when this company gets taken out it would likely be done at a price close to double the market price, assuming it happens in the this year.
Given that the facts surrounding this story have not changed, a lower share price is just making the take out price lower by a multiple.
If this thing slides to somewhere between $4-$5, it would be a lot more attrctive to a buyer in the $10 range and may happen very quickly.
If it can get back to the highs the buyout price would more likely be $16 - $18, much less attractive and likely lets us stay along for more of the ride, and more of the profits.
I worry that we are weeks away from being bought if this continues....and if I was an interested buyer of VLE, I would certainly be selling the stock.
