RE:RE:RE:CKE: Station 2 at C$2.18, Winter Storm Warning at SUMAS area1. Location: Rigel Area >> 16" OAK Outage Type : 16" Oak Pipeline out of service. Due to a landslide it was discovered that the 16" Oak has moved 4+ meters over a 55 meter span. Duration : 108 Days 23 Hours and 58 Minutes Start Date : 12/12/2017 9:02:34 AM Finish Date : 3/31/2018 8:00:00 AM Impact Details: All production on the 16" Oak has been shut in and all production upstream has been rerouted to McMahon via other pipelines. All upstream production will experience higher than normal pressures for the duration of the outage. Timeline for return to service is yet to be determined as the extent of the damaged cause is unknown at this time.

Thanks for your post. That has been the best information that I have seen on this outage.

It certainly looks like the 16" Oak outage. It services the Mahanon area, and so I think it is the one Chinook refers to. I have worked on pipelines and normally it would not take very many days to replace a 55 meter span. After all one length of pipe is 7 meters often pipe is delivered in double lengths. Macro has lots of pipeline capacity at Fort St. John. How to solve the lanslide problem would require some engineering so as to prevent a further re-occurance.
