What I don't understand

What I don't understandMy understanding of stock split is that it usually happens when the share price is very high so that it would be harder for a lot of people to purchase such stock, eventhough they know the company is heathy and profitable. What I don't understand is BLOC's management for the reasoning of split.

"Management of the Company believes that the stock split will make the stock more attractive to a larger portion of the investing community." 

Can someone enlighten me with their reasoning???
