March 31, 2017 Day 1 - $1.72The clock is ticking on the turnaround professional as almost a year of badgering employees and recruiting expensive retreads has produced virtually nothing. To date the share value is down 13.4% since Boynton started, which is hardly a wringing endorsement of his efforts. The Q4 results better be remarkable (in a good way) or the AGM should produce fireworks.
The “executives” are spinning themselves into the ground trying to make sense from the chaos Boynton has brought to the organization and that Honderich has always encouraged. Torstar isn’t Rogers and John Honderich isn’t Ted Rogers.
The organization is going to spit Boynton out if he doesn’t get results soon. His leadership style is unlikely to produce anything but fear and loathing which makes for a more toxic culture than already exists.
Change is coming to be sure.
