Yes. He cannot say anything that could be seen as negative. Since he was so opposed to the original take-over, there's little he can saw or explain so he's doing the smart thing and letting ACB lead this.

Any half decent interviewers would be able to make him look bad. At this point, he knows that ACB is within a few percent of getting its 66 2/3% vote and anyone not planning to sell should tender their shares to get this done.

The markets hate uncertainty.
