The government of the state of Sinaloa, Mexico has agreed to provide the required infrastructure to support the Santo Tomas copper/gold/silver project. Estimates indicate that the value added will exceed US$25 million and significantly enhance the economics of the mine. Agencies representing road construction, electrical power, telephone and housing have been mobilized to study the requirements and submit their cost analyses to the governor's office in Culiacan, Sinaloa over the next four weeks.
Annual production of copper/gold/silver based on a 120,000 tonne per day mining rate will be 138,000 tonnes copper, 69,000 ounces gold and 2,300,000 ounces silver. Geologic reserves presently exceed one billion tonnes, grading 0.33% Cu and the deposit remains open on strike and at depth.
