It might not be just paper money for tax purposes though. 

For all of the CRA tax experts out there, is this takeover going to be considered as a deemed dispositation for tax purposes?  If so, I assume it would apply for all of the various options, with the disposition value being the end of day valuation for the Aurora shares along with any cash which you might have received.  Is this correct?

If so, then I guess many of us will have capital losses which we can then use to offset our capital gains which you might have received if you had switch earlier last month from ACB into CMED in a miscaluclated attempt to gain the 15% differential in the prices of the shares at the time.
