RE:RE:RE:Federal Judge Dismisses Cannabis LawsuitYes, an incredibly stupifying decision bereft of any semblence of intellectual honesty. But consider that in the Dred Scott case the highest court in the land said that slaves are not "persons" as the term is used in the constitution and are therefore property and subject to the enforcement of the property rights of their owner.
In the case at hand the judge basically said marijuana has no medical usage even though anyone with an IQ slightly higher than an idiot can see that it does. In short, the judge has no intellectual courage. In laymen's terms he is a wuss. He took the easy way out. Just one authoritarian branch of the federal government supporting another authoritarian branch.
The constitutional remedy? - Continual state nullification of the federal controlled substances law as it pertains to marijuana. The legal codification and regulation of marijuana rightfully belongs to the people and the states. We are one presidential election away from this happening. In the meantime though, isn't it a pitiful shame that it is against the law for a little 12 year old girl and her parents to cross the Colorado border with the medicine that is literally saving her life. Such are the abuses of power in a government with authoritarian powers. Power does indeed corrupt and absolute power does indeed corupt absolutely.
Just a matter of time. Keep the faith.
