Lithium Uses Endless...Not Just Auto Sector (Morgan)
Lithium Uses Endless...Not Just Auto Sector (Morgan)Don't anticipate any Lithium oversupply for many years. The uses for Lithium will continue to grow & grow in many applications and across several industries. For instance, many mining operations are in the process of planning a changeover to battery powered. Goldcorp appears to be leading the way with this new energy initiative.
There may be situations where companies pursuing Lithium could be a total waste of time and investor funding. Situations where the grade is low or where the Lithium projects are "not near" the vicinity of Lithium battery Gigafactories.
On that basis, projects like Frontier Lithium in mining experienced District of Red Lake Canada (the Goldcorp mining region) will be highly sought after on account of its very high grade Lithium (highest grade outside of Australia), Negligible strip ratio mining costs, smart processors who are highly competent in building successful mining production operations and the area remains virtually wide-open & unexplored fior additional high grade discoveries.
Grade matters, especially if Morgan anticipates extra Lithium compound to come on stream in the next several years.
Also, on account of the relative close distance to the Tesla Battery Gigafactory in Nevada, I view the Clayton Lithium basin another Lithium producing area that will stand the test of time even if added Lithium compound supply is increased in the next many years as Morgan speculates.
So, for that reason, Nevada Lithium projects in the immediate surrounding area of Albemarle (few mile distance to the Silver Peak Lithium operation) have a high probability to remain steady Lithium compound producers for the next several years, especially on account of Tesla's Gigafactory just a 180 miles away. I believe Advantage Lithium is in the mix in the Nevada Albemarle area, along with Pure, Spearmint and Cypress.
