Welcome to the first of Carl Data Solutions monthly updates. We have some great news to coming out in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned! 90 per cent of our revenue comes from implementing systems that provide critical information about infrastructure. Our clients are typically governments or utilities, so sometimes it's challenging to keep our shareholders abreast of everything we are doing. A release about the adoption of one of our applications would usually beg the question by citizens under these governments or serviced by the utility is “why are on earth weren’t you doing this before?” To release news about these projects requires we follow strict compliance rules set out by our partners and clients, and we announce the signing of new contracts and the expansion of existing ones when we can. Predictive Analytics for Waste Water Infrastructure: We can pass along that we are currently expanding the scope of our work with several large municipalities to bring more sensors online, and incorporate more predictive analytics - like our seven day event forecasting to identify combined sewer overflows (CSO) - in order to allow these clients to more effectively manage their operations. On January 8, 2018, EPA published the final Public Notification Requirements for Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) to the Great Lakes. This requires the development of a public notification system. We actually have built this exact product for the city of Boston that will be launched this month. There has been tremendous interest from other Great Lakes cities and municipalities, since systems like ours will now be required. Flood Risk Forecasting: We have continued to expand our application deployments with Teck Resources. and are just days away from the lawyers finishing our Master Service Agreement (MSA). This will allow us to work directly with each Teck mining operation directly. We have been approached by many mine sites, eager to deploy our solution. We are also working with both Canadian and US dam safety organizations and associations to get exposure for the same product, and have gained interest from a couple of other large mining companies. Solid Waste Management: Our solid waste pilot with Peak Disposal is just about to kick off. The customized hardware is finished development and we are currently out-fitting bins. We will be collecting data and releasing more news in the next week or two. This is a big productivity tool for solid waste companies as it allows them to know when bins are approaching 100% capacity. Picking bins up quickly as soon as they are approaching full allows companies to increase pick ups, which in turn increases profits. Thanks for your continuing support of Carl Data, as we continue to grow and reach our potential. So much of the technology we have been developing for the last two years is just beginning to show results. There are many more great things to come! |
