Don't get rattled by bashers

Don't get rattled by bashersBashers that show up on this board are the same accross all of stockhouse. They appear when a stock price is in a lull and long term investors are feeling disheartened. The stock price in these situations is often disconnected from the future prospects of the actual business and intrinsic value. In the case of mining and exploration businesses, there is a disconnection between a realistic price that would have to be paid by another business in order to acquire said company based on an estimated NPV value of extracting commodity v.s. the stock price.

These bashers would have to fall into one of the following categories, or all of them at once:

1) Internet trolls who like to make people upset.
2) Past investors who lost money, but have now exited their position, so they would like to see the stock price fall further to legitimize their decision.
3) Paid bashers that are being funded by a company that would like to acquire those same  shares more cheaply or that is short selling the stock.

I would tend to cancel out option 1, because there are much better places you can go on the internet to make people mad and get your jollies if that is what you are after. Therefore, we are left with option 2 or 3.
