If you don't understand what the company is all about then why bother to be in it at all. All TA does is monitor the footprint of thousands of investors. No one buys a companies stock without having some kind of a perception, belief, hope of what that companies future is going to be. Likewise no one sells unless they have decided the price is too high, that things aren't working out, there are problems or that they have lost the original vision. All of these investors perceptions show up collective and can be monitored by various indicators. So do we need to discuss the fundamentals, absolutely, but for me being able to get a clear direction of the trend of the stock and knowing when it is completely overpriced or underpriced make the difference between buying the stock for .63 or buying it for 8.50 as way to many people did with Novo.
