RE:RE:RE:The spike in share price won’t hold

RE:RE:RE:The spike in share price won’t holdFairfax bought 9.4 million shares 4 months ago and own 40.6% of all the non-Voting shares.  If an investor can’t imagine a scenario where Fairfax prevails in privatizing Torstar then yes, you should look elsewhere to invest.

My perspective is at anywhere less than $2/share the dividend yield exceeds 5% and is relatively secure. If Fairfax offers $6/share to gain control that would represent a 200%+ capital gain which you don’t come by too often.

This is is an investment that will slowly make you crazy if you concentrate on the daily ups and downs. I will continue to accumulate shares for all of the reasons I have stated in the past. The shares are massively undervalued and Fairfax has the patience and the financial resources to out wait the Voting Trust.

Fairfax is not an impetuous investor unlike extremerisk who’s deemed this a loser far too early. The investor with time and patience will be richly rewarded.
