How could the U.S. of A try and tell Canada they can't do what their own states are doing without looking like global jokes? Washignton = Legal but B.C. can't? Tough sell.
At that point if we cooperated with their hypocracy we would essentially be decalring that we are no longer an independant nation. Canada would then be a non-voting state. Tough sell.
What else should we be asking for permission for?
I very much enjoy the fact that the Canadian LP's for the most part have focussed elsewhere. I think it is funny that big brother is upset that they aren't the center of attention for once.
I don't see the USA being federally legal anytime soon. The current setup works for them just fine. The feds can't force legalization on a state anymore than they can stop the state from legalizing. Right now each state controls its own market. All of it. Very localized. Somewhat "protectionist". I think they are liking this aspect. As far as drugs are concerned they are the worlds biggests consumer, with that said why would you create a situation that allowed others to control that?
I think the U.S. of A prefers to get high on their own supply. When this "goes American" it will be via the investors. A lot of Canadian companies are US owned even Molson Canadian got taken out with a silver bullet.
