-Bull markets are born on pessimism, grown on skepticism, mature on optimism and die on euphoria," said the late Sir John Templeton, the legendary value investor, laying out the four stages of a bull. -"You never know what will trigger the next downturn," Rodrigue says. SHANGAI COMPOSITE/ORE METAL CONCERN A break of the rising trend line on the Shanghai composite chart calls into question the rally on the mining sector. The short-term oversold rebound is stalled at resistance just under its 200-day. So far, volume on the rebound is sub-par. A resumption of the correction in this market will lead to further weakness in the mining sector. The relative performance of the mining sector has started to show a negative change over the past week or two. A strong relative performance rank of 9 as recently as late January has dropped to 90. The last time 400 million shares traded on the Ventures market was April 2011 when numerous commodity stocks topped. The parabolic blow-off and reversal on bitcoin prices is another sign of trouble for the speculative areas of the market. Speculative areas related to marijuana, block chain and technology could see some unwinding. The silver lining. Areas such as energy may benefit from flow of funds out of technology
