Nothing wrong with either approach but there's a good reason you wont find names like FB, AMZN, TSLA etc etc in Buffet's holdings. Not knocking him because that would be stupid, but he has benefited from grinding it out in the largest multinationals in the world. A process that I believe will get decimated if this protectionist Trump policies lead to a global trade war. As Buffet once said, when the tide goes out you find out who is skinny dipping. Grinding it out only works when the market goes up in perpetuity.
