CannTrust Is Setting Up To Be The Next Big Hot Stock
CannTrust Is Setting Up To Be The Next Big Hot StockCannTrust’s 2018 3rd quarter revenues could easily reach $100 million plus. The main reason being they’ll have a large amount of produced dried marijuana flower, along with extracts and capsules available the day rec is legalized. Last Nov 23rd they announced a 1st harvest in their completed 250,000 sq ft Niagara facility and also stated that it’s full production would commence that December. Another interesting note was they also announced that they increased their inventory storage capacity to ~ $93 million worth with 3 additional level 9 vaults. LPs no longer require the high security vaults since Health Canada scrapped the vault security rule a couple of months later on Jan 25th.
Obviously CannTrust was planning ahead last November since they’ll be stockpiling a minimum of 13,300kg by Aug 1st from their 20,000kg/yr facility that has been in full production since last December. Also by May they’ll be fully producing another 20,000kg/yr out of their 180,000 sq facility - which would yield at least an additional 6,600kg by August 31st. Can’t think of any other LP besides WEED that will have 20,000kg of cannabis on hand the day it’s legalized. For CannTrust to have 20,000kg of stockpiled cannabis worth $138 million (@$7/gram) by August is going to capture the market’s attention much sooner than some think here.
The thing I like most about TRST is their ability to significantly outperform their peers in many areas and one of those areas that is on the down low right now is their industry leading high yields per square foot. Their estimated production of 40,000kg/yr is based on 150 grams per sq foot, word is they’ve been achieving 250-350 grams per square foot. TRST definitely has a few irons in the fire that could light up their sp. It’s no longer a matter of if, like it is for many LPs - it’s now just a matter of time.
