I've just read studies that claim reduing nicotine will just increase the amount of cigarettes smoked. Which would assume tobacco will only gain from this, so I have to assume that patent will be desireable to at least one of the big four

You could also assume these companies have their own methods in place, but RTI has a small market cap, why not just buy them and get that cannabis side of the business all in one purchase.
