BREAKTHROUGH !!! "ENHANCED WEATHERING" BOOSTS CROP YIELDS !Note: "Enhanced Weathering" involves "pulverizing silicate rocks" which includes GREENSAND !
Alysson Paolinelli is truly a giant in the field of tropical agriculture. He must be highly commended for recognizing the incredible potential of Verde's Super Greensand in tropical soils very early on.
This is from an article posted March 5 on Verde's facebook page:

This paper was written by two of the world's leading authorities on plants.

A video presentation by one of the authors Prof. David Beerling last year is well worth watching.

Note in the video a reference to stunning results obtained on sugarcane in tropical Mauritius all the way back in the 1950s. These may not have been widely known in pre-internet days.
The technical paper was published in the March 2018 issue of Nature in pdf format (link below):

Note that Super Greensand alone is far superior to crushed basalt due to the combination of its composition and its slow release action, but there could be additional benefits derived from combining it with the type of basalt from Brazil's Parana basin, right under Verde's feet !
