I mentioned before that cryptocurrency mining is becoming less and less profitable because so many individuals and, more importantly, well-funded companies are going all-in on it, sending the mining difficulty through the roof and making blocks harder and harder to find, thereby reducing profitability, even for the companies with thousands of mining rigs. I just don't think DM can compete and by the time they scaled up conditions would be even worse, I mean, unless one coin after another just started blasting off in value.
I think DM's "pilot scale" move was smart if for no other reason than it gives Ronin an "easy out" when they inevitably realize this.
