RE:Humm.. Glencore inks Cobalt supply deal with China’s GEMGood question skydiver. Who wants to be associated with child labor? I cant get my head around these mind boggeling deals. Guess its all about the money again.. Its like saying 'hey, we need cobalt, f$ck childlabor not our problem' Gets me mad. :-(

That said, I started researching Katanga today and I see the chart has been on an uptrend for the past year.  As an investor, this inspires a reason to investigate this company further.

Key questions I am starting with are:

- Why do I want to be affiliated with a mine in Congo?  The politics alone of allowing/forcing young kids to `Work the Mines` doesn't sit well with many (with a conscious) around the world.

- What will happen here (to Glencore, Katanga or Congo altogether) when North American companies opt to disconnect themselves with `promoters of slave labor`, and choose other methods for obtaining their Cobalt, etc..?  (I/E:  Recycling)
