FCCWith the aquisition of USCO, First Cobalt was able to add an extremely important asset in the Iron Creek property. Their Ontario mine assets and refinery are very exciting for sure. However, by adding Iron Creek, not only did they diversify into the United States, but the project becomes their closest to production. It's also in a proven production belt, in close proximity to Tesla's Giga factory. The value of this aquisition can't be overstated for a company that is aggressively pursuing becoming a major Cobalt producer while the iron is hot.
Trent Mell is an extremely well spoken and focused leader who's been around the block in the mining industry. And he is surrounded by heavy hitters. The management team in place at FCC is impressive to say the least. A shallow dive into the backgrounds of the FCC Managers and Directors reveals long and successful careers with companies like Vale, Sherritt, Falconbridge (Glencore), GoldCorp, and First Quantum Minerals. FCC VP, Peter Campbell was the Exploration Manager for Falconbridge (now Glencore). FCC Exploration Manager, Jason Rickard ran drill programs for Gold Corp and Vale.
Given the assets and $30M cash (which Mell recently said at PDAC could last 3 years) these guys have to work with, I have great faith in where this thing is headed. As a long term USCO holder (primarily invested in Iron Creek), I am very happy to be moving over to First Cobalt and becoming a long-term holder with an eye on long term ROI in the several multiples. Im very excited to see what these guys can do. GLTA
