Thinking out loud 1- 12.5 yr Average number of years taken to develop successful medicine, and there is great variance, meaning it could unsurprisingly take 10 yrs or... 18 or even more in some case, or even less if you are lucky! PLI ressources were scattered in between small molecule biz, ppps proteines, affinity resines, so a lot was done, regardless of what the uninformed superficial bashers are saying!
2-Average to bring a new drug to market is 1,15Bilion Euro!
How much was raised to bing Ryplazim in BLA and PBI-4050 to P3, how much was raised to fine tune PSSS, how much to develop the game changing affinity resin business? What about other proteins to come?
So yes the B/S does not look very good atm, and yes we all know getting money out of china is not like money out of US or EU, and maybe they should have took a more conservative approach dealing with this... So a bit of clumsy steps in the dark from PLI, but this is kind of normal in the dev. pharma world. OK, granted, maybe it could have been handled better.
What we have here is an unpolished diamond, an old guitar that needs some love. PL might not be perfect, the board might not be perfect, but let's get real folks, PL is a f cking genius, Lyne Gagnon is a f cking genius . For them it doesn't make a f cking flying f ck of a difference. Their goal is to heal, not to please some low life stockhouse basement dwelling posters like Edrose.
Someone said everything is pretty locked up now, those who got to sell sold, those who wanted to buy did buy. No much volume. I think that is damn right, speaking for myself I'm locked in, what I want to risk in PLI is in PLI and not moving no matter the outcome until the 14th. the action on the sp tells the very same tell as well, so I know I'm not alone... pretty sure 85% of you reading this are in the same situation.
We will have more dilution in due time, that is granted as far as I am concerned and certainly is expected from a cie pushing or about to push several drugs for several indications. Why someone would be against rising 1mm to make 5mm out of a new proteine or indication? This is totaly normal.
Indications? What are we talking about? Just for one example: a drug that could eventually helps the healing of DFU and TMR... guys, if Ryplazim is approved shorthly around the 14th, we will be few weeks away from geting interim results on wound healing from Sweden that could dramaticaly upside the plasminogen market...
So,on April14th or before... we get Ryplazim approved, sanctioning the ppps process at the same time! And few week later interim results on Sweden trials...hmmm might sell a bit of that trading position on approval on the 14th, but the gravy might come in june, july for a much bigger market... and with Ryplazim approved, ppps validated for a first protein... what will be the expectation for IAIP¨and others? Certainly way more positive anticipation than what we are seing here for their first drugs! After Ryplazim approved, anticipation for other proteins will be on steroid imo.
Think about it: a new process approved, in a plant apporoved, that could pave the way to multiple products down the road...
Of course we can get delayed, we could face hiccups, and the resulting dilution, but one has to calculate how much he/she is willing to risk. If all goes well the price is tempting, if the risk materialise, you will have to wait 3 or 6 months and get more dilution.
So yes, the sheets are not pretty, but stuff can change fast. forget the folk who got in at 10c, 30c.. those folks are an anomaly! lol (but still congrat! I wish I was at your place!) : )
This is just stating now.
The PLI story is starting now.
