RE:CBC: First Nations demanding a cut of cannabis taxMy understanding is that they want a cut from sales within their own reserves. The provincial governments are taking a cut to supposedly create awareness programs and train police, but this doesn't help those on the reserve. By taking the provincial tax portion for themselved they could then do the same.
At first I was a little shocked, but reading into it a bit more it started to make sense.
