Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Here is the full G&M article. This article is sensational nonsense. Think about what she wrote: "At Friday's closing price, the deal turned that $900,000 investment into about $4.75-million for the Aphria insiders in the space of about seven months." This infers that the increase in stock value beyond $900000 simply arose out of the buyout offer. No it didn't...the investment was worth $900000 when they bought and that investment had already very substantially increased in value before the buyout offer. The investment did not go from $900000 to $4.75 million on the day of the buyout offer or simply because of the buyout offer. The article is shameful and clearly designed to create alarm where none is warranted. Ms. Pellegrino is the one who should be investigated.
