What: SPE/CHOA Slugging It Out Conference
One year ago, an RF XL Field Test was completed. This presentation describes the design and operation of the test, how it was carried out, and the results obtained, as well as the matching of the results through reservoir simulation. The test involved installation of radio frequency (RF) antennae in a shallow ditch, with temperature measurement at defined locations in the "reservoir". A custom designed RF generator and system provided the power supply. All operational data were monitored and recorded over the several days to validate the technology and the modeling.
Acceleware will be presenting "RF Heating: Results from a 100 kW Field Test" during Session 3: New Technologies, which runs from 13:00 - 15:00.
Slugging It Out is a heavy oil and bitumen focused conference that has been held annually for over 26 years. The primary goal of the conference is to promote continuous improvements to all aspects of project and technology development through the sharing of recent project data, case studies, and technical discussion.
Third Event:
When: June 11 - 14, 2018
Where: Copenhagen, Denmark
