RE:Trumps trade war...................

RE:Trumps trade war...................What trade war? Talk about a trade war isn't a trade war. Politicians have rolled over for years because they fear the consequences of rocking the boat. Ironically, Trump's main allies are, surprise, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi when it comes to protecting US intellectual property rights. Sometimes you have to stick up for your own interests, even if that may upset trading partners, who would prefer you didn't.

The Dow had a huge run up from 18,300 to 26,000 in just 13 months. It couldn't last forever. That doesn't mean it must collapse back to 18,000. It may just consolidate for awhile. I actually prefer that to never ending higher highs. The important factor to watch is US and global GDP growth. If that continues to remain healthy, those of us into commodities will remain in good shape.

The pricing on certain tech stocks doesn't make any sense. I can't figure out Tesla. They don't earn any profit, and perhaps never will. Ditto for Amazon. Their P/E ratio is something like 500. It's total BS. These companies must eventually have a day of reckoning. Not because of political indiscretions, but because there is a real world that we all have to live in when the party is over. It's starting to remind me of 1999. Meanwhile, IVN has NPV8 of $7 or $8 share and growing, even after proposed tax changes. But since you can't stick a dot com on it, traders are not interested.
