It can be used for other types of pain, it got approved in the USA for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome :

The thing with pharma companies is that to obtain a DIN number which allows the drug to be billable via insurance, they need to run a clinical trial for each disease. In the future, I see TBP doing trials for other types of pain, but cancer is a big one for starters.
