RE:Solar: Article

RE:Solar: Article
In North America, even though some of the Obama supporters jumped on the SOLAR and WIND wagon it failed.

I looked into it because it seemed to make a lot of sense.

The reason Solar does well in other parts of the world is because there just isn't any other form of power generated that can be utilized at affordable prices. Mainly because the infrastructure just doesn't exist and they don't have the natural resources needed.

India is surprizing in that they have a lot of methods to produce electricity without using fossil fuels/wind/solar. They have huge rivers on land and incredible tidal streams on their coast.

There is no reason why river current generation couldn't have been utilized, even in remote areas and without the necessity of dams. Same goes for tidal generation. I guess there just wasn't enough money to be made to build the system???

In North America and Europe, there are some extremely rich, heavy hitters putting every road block in place possible to stop the generation of solar energy. They do this by keeping the price of fossil fuel generated energy much cheaper.

I have to hold tongue in cheek when I see the commercial about having an electric car in every garage and the rooftop solar generation panels that will charge the batteries.

The one study I read, put out by Mr Buffet's company, Berkshire Hathaway felt that Solar generation wouldn't be profitable or feasible for at least 30 years.

GLTA the good folks here.
