Not sure how long you have been retired, but there is a search engine called "Google" that can assist you. There are numerous articles and videos about Cation and who is behind it. It's principal is an investment banker who is the former head of Global Head of Oil & Gas at Macquarie.  Cation is long the stock, around 1.7 million shares. However, they allegedly have the support of many of the top institional investors who are long many million more shares. We shall find out at the AGM in May.

It would be quite foolish to short the stock if you are trying to elect your own members to the Board and your whole goal is to boost the stock price. 

I'm not sure you know how the stock market works.
