RE RE RE RE:Oh dearMy text was lost with my previous post...   I just wanted to say there are many reasons why someone would want to sell to crystalize a capital loss..  Lots of deals going on that I wouldn't base my short thesis on assuming these real estate deals you are posting on here represent dire straits.  I know a lot of people and I doubt very much that any of them have a mortgage on their primary residence.  On our rental properties, sure.  To the MAX.  Why?  Because we can write off the interest paid on the mortgage as a ddeduction to our rental income.  Therefore, we pay less tax. 

So "Dr" you just sound like a jealous renter who trolls twitter for these listings (tweeted by other disgruntled renters who missed the boat).  Sad.
