RE:RE:Looks like we can thank KAT for our problemsObviously it's different but the increase in royalties would have to be paid before the debt. So slapping on more royalties and making cobalt a strategic metal, another big royalty gets the DRC paid before the debts. If all was well with KAT and the DRC was getting their share it's quite possible we never would of had a royalty increase without the 10 year clause.

KCC (subsidiary of KAT) is paying glencore debt/interest payments while being bogged down by $8-9 billion dollars worth of debt (all funded by Glencore). Not only is Glencore making money off the cobalt/copper behind mined, they are also getting debt/interest payments. In this situation, the Gecamines (owns a passive 25% of KCC) are actually getting screwed over becuase profits/balance sheet look like sh!t due to $8-9 billion worth of debt. Glencore tried to be sneaky and are now getting spanked. I dont think RF would try the same and if he was planning to, he surely won't be now.
