Actually rajm, that is my #1 fear. They sell BNK before having the chance to prove the field.

I can easily see Exxon saying, we will assume your current debt and offer you a 40% share markup. This would equate to approx ,85 cents a share. If you think that is far fetched and would never happen, take a look at their sister company Banker's Petroleum. They sold for $2.25 per share, far below NPV, at the time.
