A buyout by Air Canada is a possibility. But, it's not just AC or nothing here. What if Aeroplan teamed up with Expedia? Would you cancel your TD Visa then? Now you would have reward options that far surpass just flying on AC.

Granted, there are lots of unknowns but that's why the stock is trading in the dirt. I think the upside is greater than the down, certainly better odds of a double or triple than buying AC or AMZN.

Well put, I think Aeroplan might come out of this stronger than before and the brand's value could increase substancially.

"Would you cancel your TD Visa then?" I have a TD Aeroplan card to collect air miles.. not amazon points.. 100% I will cancel TD if its not associated with a major airline in canada.. That said, I suspect TD will cancel their association..
