katanga with no harm can forgive $3.9 billion debt...So Let's say Katanga Mining owes all together about $5.93 billion to Glencore so they lent all or some portion of that money to KCC and so they owe Katanga $9.2. How ?
Like How Katanga's debt is only $5.93 from which Katanga lent money to KCC and KCC's debt is $9.2.
So $5.93 billion of Katanga debt with high interest adds up to $9.2 of KCC debt.
so difference is $3.9 billion which even if forgiven that will not cause any harm to Katanga as they still owes exactly same amount of debt $5.93 as before forgiving $3.9billion of KCC.
By the way, does anyone knows Total assests of KCC ?
