Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:How will this impact Canadian LPs ?

Current wholesale ranges from $4 to $5 per gram.  In 2020 when the glut hits, yes the prices could drop to $2 per gram wholesale.  Aphria will still make money at that price but many LPs will not survive those market prices. Lowest cost producers will dictate the wholesale market.

The key to this game will be establishing early market share, world wide market share and affiliated revenue streams.  Slow little piglets to the trough will squeal and go hungry!
