Infill drilling normally improves the quality of the information so that resources may be upgraded to reserves. Not a bad thing if you want to tuck something tangible under your belt but the drilling does not necessarily increase the total tons of reserves/resources.   If  the infill are deeper holes then the resources may be increased and perhaps improved structural information obtained. 
It is usual practice to drill the best targets from prospection first, unless there are impediments such access to the sites.
