Dorm rates are standard, but you will be reducing the cost of flying workers from all across Canada and some even from the US.
I'm curious as to whether Chidliak would still charter planes from either Ottawa to Iqaluit and/or Montreal to Iqaluit...or try and rely on commercial airlines to support trips in and out of Iqaluit and let the workforce use that venue.
They have that option because they can bus employees from a bit international airport to site.
Not many northern operations have that option.
Mary River has to charter from Iqaluit to Site...so it makes sense for them to extend that charter down to Montreal or alternative location and make Iqaluit just a stop down, refuel (if needed), pick up some locals and head to site).
I suspect there will be some staggering of shifts/departments, so it won't be straight all staff change.
