Northvolt wants to build the world's greenest batteries

Northvolt wants to build the world's greenest batteriesNorthvolt's mission is to built the world's greenest batteries.  If you visit their site, they state how important it is for them to get raw materials that has been mined and processed by sustaining means.  No wonder they made a deal with Nemaska.

There is already strong value for raw materials producers with environment friendly mining and processing operations.  I predict you guys that EV manufacturers and battery makers will be seriously looking at the sustainability of their supply chains.  This will be a strong competitive advantage for Nemaska.

Yesterday at Dcouverte on Radio-Canada, they stated a fact that the average EV starts with a very bad environmental footprint when you compare it with an ICE.  It's only after 80,000 kms that the EV reaches parity with an ICE on the environmental footprint.  The EV industry knows that they need to do better, a lot better!!!
