Home Capital Group Inc. is a Canada-based holding company that operates through its principal subsidiary, Home Trust Company (Home Trust). Home Trust is a federally regulated trust company offering residential and non-residential mortgage lending, securitization of residential mortgage products, consumer lending and credit card services. In addition, Home Trust and its wholly owned subsidiary, Home Bank offer deposits through brokers and financial planners, and through a direct-to-consumer brand, Oaken Financial. RE:RE:Price declines in the GTA so far ...From the Zolo stats, things look to be stabilizing from last month. Year over Year stats look horrible, because the comparison was to the market peak. So... silbergleit will post YOY stats - and even those aren't crash and burn numbers. -15% change in average house price is just cooling an overheated market. So my interpretation from the stats Canadar and Silbergleit posted is that we got a soft landing. Awesome! (My neighbour just sold for 8% above ask, and he is buying a bigger house. No mortgage though.)
