RF: “In our 35 years of working with teams that have discovered, developed and financed world-leading mining projects, we have never given investment advice to our shareholders. The facts always have spoken convincingly for themselves – and now they are matters of record, Today, we sincerely urge our shareholders to be patient while we continue our work dedicated to bringing our tier-one projects to their next stages of development.

May could be quite interesting. Although there was no news out of the DRC on April 24th when the “1st pillar” talks were scheduled to end, it’s reasonable to believe that the talks are still ongoing and something is being worked out. In fact today (May 2nd) was another date mentioned in the article I posted before that was set aside for the draft regulations to be completed. Guess we just have to wait. Apparently the government only has until June 7th (90 days after signing) to adopt the new regulations so the time pressure will mount soon.

In the meantime the Q1 2018 financial results and progess updates should probably be released this week or next week and we’ll be able to see any new progress on the projects.

I also firmly believe once the DRC mining code details are released we will probably get a flurry of NRs from the company and judging by the hints dropped in the NR, it’s going to be something interesting.

Ivanhoe expects to be in a position to provide an update on significant potential corporate and strategic transactions, including financing initiatives, in the near future.
