But magnetite (iron ore) is a strong possibilty as a by-product. Magnetite occurs at 5% in-situ, so depending on the price of iron ore ($60 - $120 per tonne the past few years), the magnetite could add $3 -$6 per tonne in rock value, Enough to cover all of the mining costs and perhaps even all of the processing costs.
And the sweet part of this is that little if any changes to the flowsheet would be required to capture this additional revenue stream.
