RE:HALTED by AuthorityTrading halts get ordered by the TSX when there is a major transaction announced.  Allows the market time to respond and also allows the TSX to review the details of the proposed transaction before trading recommences.  Any trnasaction like the one formerly proposed would be backed by an independent reserve evaluation.
